Job Description

  • Regulatory Reporting & Compliance:
    • Prepare, submit, and monitor regular and ad-hoc regulatory reports to FINMA for the Swiss entity (parent company) and to BaFin for the Germany subsidiary, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international standards.
    • Stay up-to-date on the latest changes in regulatory frameworks, including Basel III.
    • Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports to FINMA, e.g., capital requirements, large exposure, LCR, NSFR, etc., and other regulatory duties to BaFin, e.g., ICAAP, ILAAP, etc.
    • Liaise with internal stakeholders (finance, risk, etc.) as well as external outsourcing partners to gather required data for regulatory submissions.
  • Regulatory Interpretation & Advisory:
    • Interpret regulatory changes and communicate their impact to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Provide advice on regulatory requirements and assist in the design and implementation of new products to ensure ongoing compliance.
    • Work closely with legal and compliance teams to address any queries regarding regulatory issues.
  • Data Collection & Analysis:
    • Coordinate the collection, validation, and reconciliation of financial data required for reporting.
    • Analyze financial data for discrepancies and ensure that data is consistent with regulatory reporting requirements.
    • Evaluate data integrity and accuracy in reporting systems, using advanced Excel to double-check output.
  • Audit & Inspection Support:
    • Assist in the preparation of materials for regulatory audits, inspections, and reviews by FINMA / BaFin.
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of regulatory reports, data sources, and methodologies to ensure transparency and audit readiness.
    • Support internal or external audits by providing clarifications and evidence as required.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and improve efficiency while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Participate in cross-functional teams to implement system improvements and regulatory changes.
    • Continuously enhance knowledge of regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure the company stays ahead of regulatory requirements.
    • Develop a strong controls framework around regulatory reporting.
