The Mechanical and Materials Engineering Group at CERN is seeking a skilled Welding Engineer to join its Fabrication Methods and Subcontracting Section.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring that subcontracted production of critical cryogenic and pressure equipment meets CERN's quality requirements and standards.
You will work closely with industrial partners to assess their QA/QC processes, welding procedures, and documentation to guarantee compliance with applicable welding codes and design specifications.
This role requires frequent visits to suppliers in CERN Member States, providing a unique opportunity to gain exposure to diverse industrial environments.
