At Optimus Life Sciences, we are seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to join our team. This role is a great opportunity for individuals who want to work with state-of-the-art automation systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • In-house PLC programming for machine retrofits, specifically with B&R and Siemens controllers.
  • Software adaptations in motion, vision systems, and HMI applications.
  • On-site software implementation for customers, with occasional remote work.
  • Commissioning of interfaces to third-party machines.
  • Remote second-level support and troubleshooting at customer sites.
  • Conducting customer training on automation and software, both in-house and on-site.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in PLC programming (Simatic S7 and B&R).
  • Experience with automation systems (motion, vision, HMI).
  • Familiarity with B&R Automation Studio, drive components, and access control systems is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in retrofit projects, troubleshooting, and customer support.
  • Strong hardware skills and basic knowledge of SCADA systems.
  • Ability to work independently with customer sites for retrofits and troubleshooting.

Work Arrangement: Full-time onsite in the first year, with the possibility of 1-2 days remote work per month. Expect 30% travel for retrofits.

Duration: 3-6 month trial period, followed by indefinite contract.
