In this role as Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) Threat Research Analyst, you will contribute to the expanding CTI team serving a global pharmaceutical client. Your background in cybersecurity and passion for research will help you excel in threat analysis and providing intelligence to the security team and senior decision makers. Note that some Pacific Standard Time office hours might be required due to the client's location in the EU and US.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research and malware analysis to enhance threat detection.
- Evaluate threat intelligence from various sources, including OSINT, dark web, and proprietary data, to support the overall security strategy.
- Support threat research efforts by analyzing complex threats and identifying potential vulnerabilities.
- Participate in threat hunting activities to proactively identify and mitigate potential threats.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications like CISSP, CEH, GIAC are beneficial.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in threat research, threat intelligence, or a related cybersecurity role.
- Strong understanding of common threat actors, TTPs, and security controls.
- Familiarity with cyber threat landscape, including malware, phishing, ransomware, APTs, and other attack vectors.
- Proficiency in using threat intelligence platforms, SIEM tools, and other cybersecurity technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify patterns.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
