Job Description

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled ICS Commissioning Engineer to join our team at GE Steam Power Switzerland GmbH. As a key member of our commissioning team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful commissioning of our power plants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commissioning and Testing: Prepare and execute commissioning, trial run, acceptance testing, and inspection/measurements works defined by the Lead Commissioning Engineer and the Commissioning Manager.
  • Safe Operation: Organize and supervise the safe operation of the plant, including site rules, safety regulations, shift plan, shift log, etc., from system turnover from Installation until handover to the customer.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Ensure the commissioning, operation, quality record, and feedback documentations are issued, and commercial and technical deviations are reported with a corresponding quality record.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical experience feedback to project engineering departments during debriefing meetings, and implement necessary EHS procedures within the scope of the discipline works.
  • System Verification: Verify network connections are installed as per Network Topology drawing, establish required communication among all devices, and review logic and verify accuracy against Engineering documents.
  • Troubleshooting and Testing: Troubleshoot software/hardware issues, perform loop checks, functional and protection tests of all equipment, and perform HMI screen modifications and repairs.

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven experiences in commissioning and strong knowledge of the GE Mark VIe Controls System and process of on Gas Turbine and Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCPP), including strong knowledge of PID loop tuning.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of communication protocols: Modbus, Foundation Fieldbus, and Profibus.
  • Skill: Strong analytic and problem-solving capability, willing to travel worldwide for long-term assignments, and fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Education: An engineering degree from an accredited university or relevant experience.
