Senior Photonic Back-end Process Engineer

LIGENTEC is a dynamic and rapidly growing company based in Lausanne, Switzerland, with a strong presence in the field of Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs). We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Photonic Back-end Process Engineer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities- Define and establish cost-optimized processes and infrastructure for photonic integrated circuit back-end prototyping and production.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for backend processes, including optical inspection, PCM characterization, and pick-and-place operations.
- Set up and maintain necessary infrastructure and equipment for production, ensuring the highest standards of quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous process improvement and innovation.
- Master's degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, physical, or nano engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of industrial working experience in quality assurance, testing, or product delivery process definition.
- Experience working in a cleanroom environment and microfabrication techniques is a plus.
- Understanding of photonic devices, such as modulators, photodiodes, and lasers, is a plus.
- Knowledge of Python for statistical data analysis.
- Excellent technical problem-solving skills.
- Open-minded, critical, and innovative.
- Ability to work independently and with remote teams.
- Working proficiency in English.
