Portfolio Strategist

About the Role

Partners Group is seeking a skilled Portfolio Manager to join our growing practice in Zug, Switzerland. As a key member of our Portfolio Management team, you will be responsible for the strategic steering and portfolio management of private market investment mandates.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement private markets mandates and semi-liquid programs
• Create bespoke portfolio proposals for clients, focusing on strategic asset allocation, investment returns/risk, and cash flow modeling
• Support client acquisition and retention with senior portfolio managers and client sales professionals
• Provide expertise on portfolio construction, relative value across private markets, and efficient use of capital
• Initiate and implement global portfolio management initiatives, contributing to innovative private market offerings
• Conduct various tasks related to portfolio management, implementation, and monitoring of portfolios, market research, and internal requests

Requirements

• Top academic credentials, with coursework emphasis on Business Strategy, Finance, Economics, and Mathematics
• Professional qualification desirable but not required
• 6-9 years' work experience in private markets or private equity investments, and/or portfolio construction experience linked to private markets in a multi-asset context
• Understanding of various investing styles across private markets and in-depth knowledge of portfolio construction principles
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong work ethic with a desire to learn and succeed
• Proficiency in English and German required
