EHS Specialist

The EHS Expert will support the project delivery department in ensuring compliance with Swiss regulations and company standards. This includes assessing and mitigating risks to minimize lost time due to injuries, illness, or business disruptions related to Capex Projects.
Key Tasks:
- Develop and implement EHS strategies and tools to ensure effective project execution.
- Conduct daily EHS tours of ongoing construction activities and provide oversight of relevant EHS programs.
- Perform regular EHS inspections and audits, and follow up on EHS reports.
- Investigate near misses and incidents, and ensure root causes are addressed and CAPAs are closed in a timely manner.
- Support the EHS team and site with safety inspections, assessments, and advice on workplace design, work processes, and working environment.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support the management with risk assessment and create a suitable organization and integrate it into management activities.
- Develop new concepts to improve occupational health and safety.
- Provide advice on the procurement of technical work equipment and the introduction of work processes and working materials.
Requirements:
- Further professional qualifications in areas such as reporting, environmental protection, EHS management system, hazardous goods, fire protection, and explosion protection are an advantage.
