The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of innovative image-processing and analysis workflows, enabling cutting-edge biomedical research.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement advanced image-analysis pipelines for diverse research projects across multiple groups.
- Evaluate the image processing and analysis requirements of microscopy-based research projects.
- Design FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, and reproducible) data-processing protocols.
- Present complex analysis results to a broad audience of experimental scientists.
- A PhD or MSc in computer science, biomedical-image analysis, or a related data-science field.
- Demonstrated proficiency in programming languages, particularly Python.
- Strong understanding of machine learning and deep learning concepts.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and effectively communicate with diverse teams.
- Self-motivated and adept at working independently and within a team framework.
- Proven track record in collaborative software development.
- Experience with Linux HPC environments and data-parallel processing techniques.
- Familiarity with bio-image analysis tools, including Fiji, CellProfiler, and Napari.
- Able to analyze images from various microscopy modalities.
