As a Battery Energy Storage Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our business by overseeing and managing the end-to-end supply chain for our utility-scale battery storage systems (BESS) projects in Western Europe.
About the Role
- Develop and Define Supply Chain Strategy
Collaborate with our legal, procurement, sustainability, and business teams to develop and define the overall supply chain strategy for our BESS projects.
Evaluate and Build Supplier NetworkEvaluate and build a network of relevant suppliers and partners around battery technology, electrical engineering, procurement, and construction.
Define Procurement Criteria and ProcessDefine procurement criteria, process, and quality standards. Own and manage supplier relationships, plan and execute tenders, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery during construction projects.
Monitor Market Trends and Suggest Commercial StrategiesMonitor market trends in terms of technology, innovation, and cost trends and suggest related commercial strategies.
Collaborate with Business Developers and Project ManagersCollaborate with business developers, project managers, and other stakeholders during different stages of a BESS project, from project acquisition to final commissioning. Provide inputs for decision-making and perform required assessments.
Develop Quality Standards and Ensure ComplianceDevelop quality standards and ensure that all BESS components and systems meet established technical, legal, compliance, and sustainability standards.
Identify and Mitigate Supply Chain RisksIdentify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, including disruptions, delays, and quality issues. Develop contingency plans to ensure continuous supply chain operations.
Analyze and Optimize Supply Chain CostsAnalyze and optimize supply chain costs and implement measures to improve cost efficiency.
About You

Proven Track Record and ExperienceProven track record and 5+ years' experience in supply chain management on BESS technology, alternatively in renewable energy sector, profound knowledge of procurement process and supply chain challenges.
Commercial Negotiation and Technical ExpertiseExperienced in commercial negotiations, creating solutions, and delivering value for the business. Strong technical expertise on BESS systems and related technical knowledge.
Business Network and Language SkillsStrong business network to relevant suppliers and partners. Proficiency in English and fluency in German and/or French, knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
