Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Scientist AD&PD to join our team at Johnson & Johnson. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for planning and conducting comprehensive activities related to the development of new processes, including researching current and emerging technologies, evaluating process cost, quality, and capability alternatives, and performing process characterization and optimization using designed experiments, problem-solving, and decision-making tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and conduct research on new scientific concepts and technologies
Work independently to perform research of a complex nature, analyzing situations or data to identify key factors
Plan and participate in daily and weekly activities based on goals and project timetables, ensuring timelines are met throughout development on assigned projects
Coordinate and support technology transfer of projects within the Development organization and cross-functionally with Supply Chain or external
Plan, write, and execute studies for development activities, utilizing skills in QbD, DoE, and data analysis to contribute to characterization studies, CMC enabling, and regulatory submission documentation
Ensure quality conduct of projects, including design, data summary, and interpretation, report and manuscript preparation, and review, and adherence to applicable regulations
Qualifications:
We are looking for a candidate with a BSc in Biotechnology, bioengineering, or equivalent, and at least 8-10 years of relevant experience, or an MSc in Biotechnology, bioengineering, or equivalent, and at least 6-8 years of relevant experience, or a PhD in Biotechnology, bioengineering, or equivalent, and at least 0-2 years of relevant experience. Key competencies required include professional knowledge in virus and protein purification, advanced knowledge in drug product formulation, professional knowledge of technical equipment used for DSP, advanced knowledge in statistical data evaluation, professional communication skills in English, and creativity and strong problem-solving skills.
