We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Pediatric Clinical Development team. As the Head Clinical Development Pediatric COE, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance pediatric drug development across all therapeutic areas.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the Pediatric Clinical Group, its structure, resources, and processes to provide expert clinical and strategic advice to global teams.
- Develop and implement pediatric clinical strategies in partnership with the Global Clinical Program Head to ensure efficient parallel development.
- Provide oversight of processes for review through ISRC, infrastructure, resources, capabilities, and culture to facilitate all teams to plan early, design innovative and efficient, feasible pediatric studies.
- Represent Novartis externally to key stakeholders, including scientific societies and academic groups.
- Develop and maintain key external relationships with academia, health authorities, trade organizations, and other stakeholders.
- MD or MD/PhD required with advanced knowledge and clinical training in pediatrics.
- Medical Board certification required; Clinical practice experience 6 years (including completion of medical residency/fellowship) required.
- Fluent oral and written English.
- Min 10 years of drug development or relevant clinical research experience.
- Proven track record of R&D leadership and management.
