Proton Synchrotron Booster Specialist

This position involves working with cutting-edge technology and collaborating with a talented team of scientists and engineers at CERN. As an Accelerator Operator, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of the PSB accelerator and its associated beam lines.
Main Tasks- Safety and Efficiency: Ensure the safe execution of the physics schedule and achieve beam performance goals during your shifts.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with accelerator physicists to optimize accelerator operation and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
- Development and Improvement: Contribute to software or hardware development, either independently or as part of a team, to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the accelerator complex.
- Higher technical diploma or equivalent relevant experience in physics, engineering, computing, or a related field.
- Relevant work experience in a technical or scientific environment, including experience with large facilities and their associated hardware.
- Knowledge of programming techniques and languages, such as Java and/or Python, and ability to develop application software.
