Job Summary

As a Senior Economist - Trade Policy at the WTO, you will play a key role in conducting research on policy-related topics and providing economic expertise to support the organization's activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on trade policy issues and provide analytical support to the WTO's Secretariat
  • Prepare and edit reports, publications, and other materials on trade policy topics
  • Provide technical assistance and training to WTO members and other stakeholders on trade policy issues
  • Collaborate with other economists and experts to develop and implement trade policy research projects

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in economics or a related field
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with experience in trade policy analysis
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to work effectively in a multicultural team
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills
