Alpiq is seeking a highly skilled Business Developer Hydrogen to drive the company's growth in Spain. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and developing green hydrogen production projects, as well as commercial activities and partnerships.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop hydrogen projects targeting industry and heavy mobility applications, analyzing opportunities, building business plans, and securing funding from public support schemes.
  • Work closely with country organizations within Alpiq, contributing to the preparation of internal investment requests.
  • Manage projects stakeholders, including local authorities, clients, partners, and suppliers.
  • Coordinate projects with the team responsible for hydrogen projects' technical aspects.
  • Report project evolution internally.
  • Develop a network in the industry to identify new business opportunities and partnerships.
  • Analyze M&A opportunities and enter new geographies.
  • Follow regulatory developments and perform innovation and market intelligence.
  • Promote Alpiq's hydrogen activities and projects in public forums.

Your Profile

  • A Master's degree in Engineering, Finance, or related fields from a leading school.
  • Postgraduate formation in business administration or finance is ideal.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in the energy sector in a business development/strategy/consulting role.
  • Solid finance and business development skills, keen eye for opportunities, good intuition, and ability to create and demonstrate value.
  • Understanding of and experience in the energy sector with a network in the industry.
  • Self-motivated, autonomous, ability to motivate others, and work collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Spanish and English: full professional proficiency level.
  • Willing to travel frequently.
