About the Role:
The Neurology Clinical Operations Therapeutic Area Leader is a senior people leadership position that holds significant accountability for clinical operations strategy and execution as well as enterprise collaboration. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of global pharma clinical development in international settings and experience managing large, matrixed organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Refine Neurology Portfolio Strategy: Develop and refine the Neurology portfolio strategy to align with the Clinical Development Plan (CDP) and the One Pharma Strategy.
- Portfolio Oversight and Risk Management: Maintain active oversight of asset and study delivery, ensuring awareness of portfolio status, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Strategic Stakeholder Alignment and Decision-Making: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on strategic priorities and drive portfolio success.
- Operational Excellence and Innovation: Leverage analytics and optimization expertise to enhance efficiency, quality, and budget management, and drive innovation by implementing new processes and approaches.
- Leadership and Talent Development: Lead a matrixed team of ~150 employees, foster a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and high performance, and support professional growth and address barriers for all team members.
- Collective Leadership with an Enterprise Mindset: Represent Neurology as part of the Portfolio Delivery Leadership Team and demonstrate collective leadership to align PDG and PD priorities.
- People Management and Administrative Oversight: Oversee team performance, manage administrative responsibilities, and ensure smooth team operations and engagement.
