We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced scientist to fill a Senior Research Chemist position in Polymer Synthesis at ETH Zurich. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in organic chemistry and experience in synthesizing complex molecules.
The TLC group at ETH is dedicated to advancing the field of macromolecular synthesis, applying innovative methods to create new materials. As a senior research chemist, you will contribute to the development of novel polymer materials, exploring their properties and optimizing their performance. Your work will involve designing and synthesizing new polymers, characterizing their physical and chemical properties, and collaborating with the PI and other team members to develop and implement new research ideas and strategies.
Key Requirements- M.Sc. degree or equivalent in chemistry or a related area, complemented by a strong background in synthetic chemistry.
- At least 5 years of experience in synthetic chemistry, preferably in a research setting.
- Proven track record of publishing research findings in top-tier journals and presenting at international conferences.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and motivate team members.
