About this Opportunity

Glencore is looking for a motivated Senior Traffic Team Member to join our Ferroalloys / Nickel team in Baar. As a key member of our operations team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and field offices, ensuring timely communication and coordination of logistical operations.
  • Manage the flow of goods, including chartering vessels, arranging transportation, and overseeing the receipt and delivery of materials.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of administrative tasks, including documentation, invoicing, and payments.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of hedging strategies to manage risk and optimize returns.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues and clients on logistical operations and related matters.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of operations and achieve business objectives.
What We're Looking For
  • A self-motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for logistics and supply chain management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Business Objects, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
Requirements
  • Commercial apprenticeship or bachelor's degree from a reputable institution.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a traffic role, preferably in a commodity trading company.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) and additional languages an asset.
  • Valid SWISS B/C Permit or EU passport holder.
