The Position

The Analytical Research & Development department is part of Synthetic Molecules Technical Development and globally responsible for developing state-of-the-art analytical methods, analysing raw materials, intermediates, active, and a variety of dosage forms of synthetic molecule development products and preparing regulatory documents for submission to health authorities.

The Opportunity

As a Junior Analytical Scientist you are responsible for the following main tasks:

- Development and improvement of analytical methods (HPLC, GC etc.)

- Application of diverse methods for product release/stability or for chemical/ pharmaceutical process development

- Ensuring adequate documentation

- Outcome-oriented collaboration with clients and lab technicians.

- Support of Senior Analytical scientists in project work and act as point of contact for project related information

- Contribution in projects related to local or global initiatives, for example related to implementation of new technologies, digitalization or harmonization

Who you are

- MSc in organic/analytical/food chemistry or pharmaceutics. PhD is an advantage

- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus

- Practical experience in the development of liquid chromatographic methods

- Oligonucleotide/Peptide analytical development know-how is a plus

- Excellent communication skills; Ability to collaborate successfully

- Basic understanding of statistics is a plus

- Very good English language skills. German language is a plus
