Five weeks of vacation, a comprehensive onboarding program, diverse and tailor-made training opportunities and a colourful and dedicated team with exciting tasks are just some of the benefits we offer you Your responsibilities - Lead and execute advanced-technology development projects that target future applications and products across diverse domains such as next-generation mobility, emerging technologies, and healthcare - Collaborate closely with Business Units to translate validated concepts into products that strengthen the company’s portfolio and market position - Design and prototype metal, elastomer, and electromechanical components; plan and carry out functional testing to validate ideas and refine concepts - Build, maintain, and operate test rigs for performance evaluation and functional-prototype assessment - Manage interdisciplinary project teams, balancing stakeholder expectations, timelines, and resources while fostering an agile, innovation-driven culture - Drive day-to-day development activities and deliver results on schedule, ensuring solutions meet market needs for competitiveness, scalability, intellectual-property protection, and profitability - Screen and present emerging technologies to internal decision-makers, aligning proposals with strategic priorities - Interface with customers to support commercial and business-development efforts for new products and technologies - Contribute to technology scouting and innovation management by identifying trends, opportunities, and potential partners Our requirements Our ideal candidate has a well-rounded profile with a mix of technical (electronics, mechanics, and software) and entrepreneurial competencies, particularly in the context of research and development and bringing ideas into products. - M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline - 3 – 5 years of professional experience in R&D, start-ups, or technical customer consulting - Broad technical knowledge paired with strong business acumen; familiarity with Dätwyler’s core markets — Pharma, General Industry, or Mobility — is an advantage - Proven use of lean development, Design Thinking, and agile methodologies - Curious, results-oriented self-starter who takes initiative and ownership - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain internal and external networks - Creative mindset and passion for innovation and technology - Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits, workshops, and trade fairs - Fluent English (C2, written and spoken); proficiency in German or other languages is a plus Ready to start?
