Presentation We are looking for a technician to join the new group of Dr. Ella Hartenian in the Department of Immunobiology at the University of Lausanne in Switzerland. Our laboratory conducts research on how the immune system defends itself against viral infection and we are looking for an independent and motivated individual to carry out an independent line of research. The ideal candidate will have research experience that allows them to hit the ground running. He or she will also be responsible for supporting ongoing projects in the lab, maintaining lab stocks and participating in group lab meetings. Job information Expected start date in position : March 1st 2025, or as agreed upon Contract length : 1 year with the possibility of renewing Activity rate : 100% Workplace : In person at the Department of Immunobiology, Biopole, Epalinges Your responsibilities Your responsabilities will include : Performing molecular biology, virology and cell culture assays Analyzing collected data, troubleshooting and performing follow-up experiments Maintaining cells and viral stocks Maintaining a lab notebook Participating in lab meetings, including giving presentations Your qualifications To start off our team we are looking for someone with the following profile - Certificat fédéral de capcité ( CFC) in biology or equivalent experience - Strong interest in science and academic research - Ability to conduct experiments independently - Strong personal motivation - Good communication skills - Excellent English speaking and writing skills - Detail-oriented and fast learner What the position offers you We offer a nice working environment in a multicultural, diverse and dynamic academic environment.
