Experienced Accountant

Overview For our client, a discreet, family-owned office based in central Geneva, we are currently looking for a qualified accountant fluent in English. We value long-term commitment, precision, and adaptability. Stimulating work environment and a varied, hands-on role; the team is looking to expand the finance function. Responsibilities - Manage day-to-day accounting for multiple family-owned entities - Lead financial accounting and audit preparation across jurisdictions - Oversee cash management and maintain relationships with banks and external advisors - Support operational activities including property maintenance and rentals - Produce weekly reports on cash, assets, and operations - Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and reporting for the principal - Maintain and enhance accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting systems - Assist with asset management (real estate, personal assets, insurance, tax) - Identify and monitor financial, operational, legal, and reputational risks - Participate in compliance-related matters and regulatory updates The Successful Applicant Experience: - Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience - Exposure to tax, trust accounting, and compliance is a plus - Experience in a family office environment is an advantage, but not essential - Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, or equivalent), ideally with Big Four experience - Active in Continuing Professional Education (CPE) to stay current with accounting standards and regulations - Skills: - High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities - Excellent multitasking and time management skills - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Flexible, collaborative team player - Discreet and capable of handling sensitive information - Strong IT proficiency with ability to improve systems and processes - Languages: - Fluent in English (business and conversational) - French is an asset What's on Offer A permanent contract in a fast growing family office #J-18808-Ljbffr
