PhD Internship in Neuroinflammation for 12 months RiSE program

Explore the functional impact of soluble inflammation regulators on microglia, astrocytes, and neurons in our Neuroscience and Rare Diseases Discovery team at Roche. As a RiSE student, you will work closely with an experienced scientist and be part of a world-wide network of RiSE Alumni.
The Opportunity- Differentiate and co-culture microglia, astrocyte, and neurons iPSC-derived cells and perform relevant assays to assess their function.
- Pioneer the study of novel molecular mechanisms in vitro.
- Conduct laboratory research and work closely within a team composed of scientists, research associates, and other students.
- Coordinate collaborations with scientists from other groups to generate impactful data.
- Organize and critically present your data at internal meetings.

Requirements- Enrolled in a PhD or medical degree program at a university.
- Extensive expertise in stem cell handling and applications.
- Experience with basic molecular biology and biochemistry techniques.
- Experience with microscopy techniques.
- Curious in exploring new molecular mechanisms in complex in vitro systems.
- Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills.
