An international B2B Group is looking for a German and English speaking GL Accountant to join their Finance team.
Responsibilities:
- Accounting Tasks:
- Ensure accurate accounting for the group’s parent companies and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Swiss GAAP (OR) and IFRS.
- Collaboration with Legal Team: Support property insurance management, including contracts, claims, risk assessment, budgeting, and cost control.
- Group Fleet Management: procurement, maintenance, insurance, cost control, reporting, and compliance.
- Expense Management Oversight: expense processing, receipt retention, audits, approvals, and adherence to guidelines.
- Training and development of finance trainees.
- Ad-hoc Projects: Participate in finance-related projects.
- Deputy Tasks: Serve as backup for VAT reporting (CH, DE, NL) and as a substitute for the Financial Specialist.
Qualifications:
- Accounting qualification (Swiss certification or equivalent).
- 5+ years of experience in general ledger accounting (closing processes).
- Strong knowledge of SAP FI, SAP MM, and SAP SD.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and IT-savvy.
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
- Strong social skills and ability to collaborate with various teams.
- Proactive, flexible, and deadline-oriented with an analytical mindset.
