Velocity is the first dedicated indoor cycling studio in Switzerland, with 3 locations (2 in Zurich, 1 in Zug). We are passionate about indoor cycling and power pilates, and having a sweaty, exhilarating workout.

Velocity is now recruiting new coaches. Velocity workouts combine the latest mashup music, a party atmosphere and welcoming community that will better the body, mind and soul. If you are passionate about fitness, enjoy music, and want to be part of our team, then we would like to meet you

Tasks

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a room of people with a dynamic, upbeat personality
  • Motivate customer during a challenging, fun workout
  • Use knowledge and passion of music to lead the workout
  • Demonstrate outstanding customer service and communication skills
  • Willing to assist in promotional endeavors both in and outside of the studio
  • Team player, cultivator of the Velocity Community and ambassador of Velocity
  • Willingness to work flexible hours: weekends, morning, nights, some holidays
  • Able to attend a 4 week Velocity Training Program (no charge, but exclusivity agreement required)
Requirements

Skills:

  • Good knowledge of music, music trends and a good feel for the beat for ride
  • Good knowledge of the body & muscles for power pilates
  • Fluent English is a must
  • Physically fit
  • Dependable, reliable and works well with others
  • Must be able to commit to a fairly regular schedule

Experience:

Previous experience in instructing group workouts is an advantage but not a must as we will provide extensive training in the Velocity method.

Note:

You only need to apply for one of our two workout concepts: ride or power pilates. You are not required to teach both.

If you are selected for our Training Program, you will need to:

  • Provide a short 10 minute audition (2-3 songs)
  • If accepted, attend a 4 week training program, roughly 10-12 hours per week (not paid)
  • Receive ongoing education, feedback and reviews as part of the Velocity Team
  • Show proof of valid Swiss working permit
