With its global TOP brand, our client is one of the figureheads of the Swiss economy and employs around 15,000 people worldwide. In the course of a new appointment, we have been tasked with finding an IAM Engineer / Cloud Architect for the Swiss branch in the Zurich region.

You will work with system engineers, application managers, the global Microsoft 365 Owner as well as with cyber security experts and external providers to ensure the stable and secure operation of the complex AD, AAD and Azure environment and shape the future of the group’s cloud architecture.

Tasks
  • Administration, maintenance and support (incident / problem / change management) of the hybrid Active Directory and Azure Active Directory infrastructure and authentication services as well as the internal DNS
  • Support AD administrators around the globe with the implementation of group-wide standards
  • Apply existing security and governance concepts and contribute to their continuous improvement
  • Maintain and further develop identity and access management procedures
  • Administration and overall responsibility of the group’s Azure tenant
  • Plan and perform migrations of server workloads to the cloud
  • Provide support and consulting for cloud projects and the implementation of new applications
  • Manage the internal PKI infrastructure
  • Evaluate current and future solutions, trends, technologies; plan and drive their implementation and adoption
Requirements
  • Several years of practical experience in designing and managing multi-forest Active Directory / Azure AD / ADFS environments, multi-factor authentication, certificate management, identity and access management and integration with enterprise applications (e.g. SSO)
  • Profound knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including DevOps principles and Infrastructure-as-a-Code concepts and techniques
  • Multi-year hands-on experience in PowerShell and other scripting technologies
  • Advanced technical network skills in hybrid on-premises, public and private cloud environments as well as in modern WAN technologies
  • Experience in working with several external IT service providers and internal stakeholders
  • Experience in evaluating technology trends, understanding those trends which can benefit the organization, planning and executing the adoption of new technologies and solutions
  • Prior experience working in a global, decentralized organization is a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders across teams, business functions, IT domains and countries, as well as with external partners and providers
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, able to effectively analyze incidents and problems
