**Your responsibilities**:
- Hiring, professional development, and leadership of a team of engineers
- Responsible for a productive and motivating environment in a multi-cultural setting
- Supervising and ensuring a safe lab work environment
- Coordinating plans for capacity, people and resources for R&D projects
- Managing assigned resources for R&D activities, assigning tasks to team members, and supervising workload and work allocation within the project teams while ensuring appropriate competencies are developed and acquired within the team to support development of future products and systems
- Building, developing, and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders (customers, universities, etc.)
- Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues, and the business
**Your background**:
- Degree in an engineering field related to electric propulsion systems (e.g. power electronics, electronics, or control engineering)
- Proven leadership skills, with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills
- Experience in leading product or platform development in the field of power electronics systems
- Sound knowledge of semiconductors, magnetics technology and drive systems
- A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies and methods
- Must be fluent in English and German
