To support our future growth, we are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic R&D intern to join our engineering team

**Job Description**:
Start Date: 01.01.2023
Type of contract: Internship
Duration: 4 to 6 months
Reports to: R&D Engineer

We are developing a commercial system to perform stainings on tissue sections. The working principle is based on the distribution of reagents through a microfluidic chip. During your internship, you will work on the development of a test bench to improve and automate the quality control on microfluidic chips. This project being at the crossroad of several departments, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with engineers and understand activities from various departments such as quality, software, manufacturing, and supply chain. Your tasks as an intern within the R&D hardware team will be:

- Design, assemble, and program a test bench to perform and automate the quality control on microfluidic chips
- Characterize the setup, analyze the data, and present it in a technical report
- Transfer the knowledge to the quality department
- Support other R&D engineers on multidisciplinary projects

At the end of the project, you will have had a first hands-on experience in the development and industrialization of microfluidic chips in an industrial environment.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, microtechnology, physics, or electrical engineering
- Prior experience with CAD software, PCB design and microcontroller programming is a must
- Prior knowledge in microfluidics is a plus
- Strong analytical skills, able to quickly assimilate complex technical information
- Dynamic, enthusiast and organized individual, able to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment
- A real team player, you are also comfortable working independently and autonomously
- Fluency in French/English is a must
