**Postdoctoral position in mountain stream biogeochemistry**:
**Your mission**:
A postdoctoral position is available in the _River Ecosystems Research laboratory_ (RIVER) of _Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne_ (EPFL), Switzerland. RIVER is part of EPFL’s Center for Alpine and Polar Environmental Research (ALPOLE) located in the midst of the Swiss Alps.

**Main duties and responsibilities include**:

- The successful applicant will conduct research on the effects of glacier melting on organic carbon metabolism in high-mountain stream networks in the Swiss Alps; a particular focus with be on hyporheic processes.

**Your profile**:

- Strong quantitative and modeling skills, experience with fieldwork and outdoor activities are clear assets.
- The ability to work independently as well as within a diverse research group is necessary.
