The brand new multi-purpose manufacturing and development site in Lengnau is designed for large scale biologics manufacturing and has high expansion potential. After completion of the construction phase, our Lengnau site will offer highly flexible biomanufacturing technologies, from process development to large-scale production, including stainless steel equipment, in order to successfully meet the needs of our customers.
**DSP Scientist Process Development**
**Location: Lengnau**
In this position, you will support the daily work of the process development DSP laboratory by the set-up and the performance of experiments within technology transfers or process development and/or optimization.
Your Responsibilities:
- Support and lead DSP activities related to the Process development & Improvement,Technology Transfer, Implementation and Optimization of Down-Scale Models for Downstream production processes of recombinant proteins
- Perform experiments related to the different DSP activities.
- Assist the Support Scientist in maintaining lab supplies (equipment, logbooks, ordering, ) in collaboration with local and global partners.
- Write protocols and method / instrument SOPs
- Train new employees in your area of responsibility
- Analyze and present data
- Write plans & reports
- Represent the team in cross-functional working teams and in PPI
- Responsible for a project
Your profile:
- Bachelor/Master in Biotechnologies, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or related field (Uni, ETH or FH), or alternatively an education as lab technician with several years of experience in a Life Sciences environment. Practical work experience in a laboratory environment is a must.
- Experience in recombinant protein purification: knowledge of antibody purification analysis is an asset.
- Independent work in compliance with internal work regulations and accurate documentation.
- Interest in Design of experiments is a plus
- Customer centric thinking and team spirit
- Result driven and priorization skills
- Excellent communication, organizational and problem solving skills.
- Good knowledge of written and spoken German and English is required.
- Very good IT skills (Microsoft Office products), experience with Electronic Lab Notebook is a plus.
- Willingness to work sporadic during weekends according to the needs
