Flexible packaging segment has a turnover of €1.167 million (2021). The business has today about 8,400 employees and has 27 manufacturing sites across 22 countries.

Today, a large part of flexible food packaging is non-recyclable. Huhtamaki has a new product line that offers customers the possibility of shifting from these non-recyclable, multi-layer solutions to recyclable mono-material solutions, without compromising the functionality of the packaging. The Supply Chain Manager, Global Projects will play a key role in designing how the new products are delivered to the market, globally. You will establish a new process and ways of working to drive supply chain optimization and deliver to our customers in the most effective way as well as leading the change and buy-in into this new way of working in Huhtamaki.

The Supply Chain Manager, Global Projects will report into VP Business Programs. You will be preferably located in one of our Flexible Packaging countries: Finland, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, UAE, Egypt, Turkey. We offer remote and flexible working opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Design the supply chain planning process for our new product line- Lead the design of the supply chain planning process for our new products, connecting global demand to global supply, building on input from key stakeholders- Document process steps and detail the roles and responsibilities of key stakeholders in the process- Identify the support systems needed to run the process and integrate the process with supply chain optimization model

2.Design the ways of working for implementing the new process- Draw out on-going operational set-up on how the process should run- Detail what is needed from each of the stakeholders and design meeting frequency, updates etc. for on-going operations

3. Implement the new supply chain planning process- Identify key resources at each of the relevant production sites, sales, commercial excellence, other- Ensure sufficient training and documentation for process to become operational- Together with IT and finance, build up and implement the necessary tools and systems to run the process

4. Run the new supply chain planning process, ensuring smooth process execution- Collaborate closely with regional supply chain functions, ensuring alignment and joint vision through regular meetings- Analyze key factors, such as working capital, inventory levels, etc.- Incorporate learnings and adjust process and tools accordingly- Strive for driving a globally optimized and efficient supply chain management

5. Communicate with key stakeholders- Provide regular updates for key stakeholders on status and learnings- Monitor the balance between capacity and supply of each of the relevant locations; draw insights and share with the wider team to use as input for future decision making - contribute to future decision making

KEY SUCCESSFACTORS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
To thrive in the role, ideally you have:
- Experience in the wider or global packaging area or any other sector that shows similar challenges like high volume, multiple SKU’s and competitive markets- Proven track record in a global supply chain management role related to multi country and market covering role- Former experience on driving service, process and inventory reduction improvements via lean methods and other continuous improvement initiatives- Entrepreneurial mindset with clear drive to lead change of the business in global, networked environment- Tactical abilities, create the roadmap for future and able to see big picture- Organized and good planning skills- Able to bring people together to work on common initiatives, able to inspire, influence and lead also indirect team- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English is a must, others are advantage)- Willingness to travel
