For our location in Allschwil/Basel we are looking for a
- Supervisor Press ManufacturingAs a **Supervisor Press Manufacturing** you have overall responsibility for leading and insuring the accurate and timely completion of all tasks in the press and folding area. This position ensures effective and efficient production of all booklet and label production runs (booklet-line, folders, label-printing) with delivering the highest quality standard products and services.
- Your Responsibilities:
- Holds staff accountable for their ongoing performance to specified standards
- Develops training plans to suit growth and improvement efforts
- Identifies resource needs (e.g.: shift work), hires, trains, evaluates and sets standards, goals and objectives for direct reports.
- Connect with the Operation Coordinator about job timelines and recourses
- Ensure that all equipment for booklet
- and label
- production is maintained as per procedure
- Prepares and drives all tasks related to the installation of new equipment including qualification
- Review and creation of WIs and SOPs for the booklet
- and label-area
- Advises department manager of any potential problems
- Builds and maintains rapport and coordinated relationships with internal departments and sister sites
- Coordinates the Investigation of Internal Incidents and Customer Complaints resulting from problems originating in the booklet
- and label-area. Prepares the reports, assigns responsibilities for corrective and preventive measures
- Builds and reports relevant important metrics to the management
- Follows all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), client protocols, and quality criteria in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices in all areas of responsibility.
- Your Qualifications:
- Requires professional degree, preferably in the print industry or similar
- 2+ years in a print environment or similar, preferably in the booklet/leaflet or label business
- Proficiency written and spoken in German and English
- Requires excellent communication, interpersonal skills
- Experience in building and leading teams
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to actively listen, check for understanding and maintain a professional manner when problems/conflicts arise
- Proven excellent ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
