In P&C (People & Culture - our HR function), we have a huge part to play, defining and shaping our new customer focused culture, organizing functions to work more effectively together and attracting the best talent with new types of skills to join us.
We are currently seeking a hands-on, people focused and energetic People & Culture Business Partner to support our Manufacturing activities in Neuchatel. The role can be based in every other location where PMI has manufacturing plants.

This role will be supporting the Global Manufacturing function within operations. As HR Business Partner (People & Culture) you work closely with our business and management team in deploying People & Culture services. Reporting to the Senior Manager P&C Global Manufacturing, you will act as a trusted advisor and coach for our employees and leaders through close partnering with the business.
Key accountabilities for the role
1. Talent Strategy, Workforce Planning and Talent Management
a. Identify current gap and develop plans to close the gaps.
b. Design and evolve a holistic approach to developing Organization Capabilities including skills, knowledge, experience and behaviors required to deliver the Function strategy
c. Design, plan and execute succession pipeline/talent moves for critical roles
d. Lead discussions during Talent Reviews and Performance Calibrations
2. Organization Effectiveness
a. Determine deployment plans for the Operating model and collaborate
with regions/markets wherever required for the deployment
b. Identify and plan change management initiatives for the function
3. Culture and Employee Engagement
Contextualize the cultural elements based on PMI Leadership model. Partner with leaders and COEs to embed a culture characterized by PMI Leadership behaviors using employee listening and internal communications levels
4. Senior Leadership Coaching and Advisory
a. Consult with senior leaders on key strategic P&C matters, offering expertise and thought leadership (incl. external trends/best practices, current and anticipated internal employee and business needs).
b. Develop the personal leadership capabilities of senior leaders
c. Advise senior leaders to handle challenging, sensitive, and difficult situations
d. Enable Function to leverage P&C functional expertise and GBS services to deliver business results through high quality and effective solutions.
5. Strategy design
a. Partner with senior leaders on the development of the Function strategy, leading people elements.
b. Determine short-term and long-term strategic plans to deliver Function ambitions
c. Anticipate future business demands with a P&C aspect, leverage multiple data sources for arriving at key decisions, frame people issue and deploy prioritized solutions that impact business success
You will also support the Operations by providing day-to-day guidance to line managers and employees (for example mentoring, career planning, coaching, etc.). Help line managers deal with organizational, people, and change-related questions acting as a trusted partner for the organization and monitoring employee engagement and needs of the organization
Who are we looking for
- You have a proven track record of minimum 5+ years in in HR positions, having worked in a multinational context is a plus
- You understand the employee life cycle and the entire spectrum of HR (ranging from talent acquisition, performance
- and talent management, training & development, organizational design, compensation & benefits, culture & change management) and you can rely on a solid experience in minimum 2 of these domains
- You demonstrate business acumen, the ability to see the ‘’bigger picture’’ and a hands-on mentality to deploy new initiatives.
- You speak English fluently, and preferably proficient knowledge of French
