We are hiring a **Senior Risk Manager** to join us in the **Life and Health Operational Risk Management** team You will have the opportunity to acquire an overview of Swiss Re's risk taking globally across the Life and Health reinsurance business with regular exposure to senior management. **About the Role**:
Along with the wider team, you will be responsible for **executing a comprehensive operational risk management strategy** and supporting senior management in the effective management of operational risk within their portfolio to increase Swiss Re's resilience and ability to honour its promises.
Your main tasks will be:
- **Providing expertise and advice** to help business partners balance business strategy with appropriate risk controls in respect of their operational risk identification, assessment and mitigation of risk.
- **Being the Subject Matter Expert on operational risk methodologies** and tools, and providing guidance to other members of the Life and Health community.
- Coordinating with Operational Risk teams and Assurance functions to ensure an effective, fit for purpose assurance plan.
- Participating in Life and Health operational risk reviews, risk deep dives or projects that contribute towards enhanced understanding and mitigation of specific risks.
**About You**:
Essentials
- Strong **understanding of risks, Life and Health reinsurance process and controls**; ideally with experience working in multiple business functions.
- University degree with** 8+ years experience in Risk, Operational, or Audit function.**:
- Proficiency in **English **(speaking and writing).

- Strong communicator with outstanding skills in** influencing and negotiation.**:
- Independent self-starter with **critical thinking**, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Great teammate, **agile learner**, open to new ways of thinking (including business perspective) and new insights; passionate about continuous learning and bringing new information into your work.
