**The unit of Molecular Pathology at the Department of Pathology and Molecular Pathology at the University Hospital Zurich, is a leading unit for developments in precision medicine including tumor genomics und multi-omics data integration. The diagnostic analyses include numerous modern omics-methods and cutting edge technologies: Whole genome sequencing, bulk RNA sequencing, methylation array, digital pathology, panel sequencing. Our scientists analyze the raw data of these assays to create diagnostic reports, develop new methods and support research projects.**:
**Your main tasks**:

- Independent raw data analysis and quality control
- Development of new test methods and their introduction into the routine
- Creation & preparation of diagnostic reports
- Supporting the training and further education of (assistant) doctors and laboratory staff
- Collaboration on research projects, presentation of results at conferences

**Your profile**:

- We are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated applicants holding a Master degree in Biology, Bioinformatics, Medical Informatics or similar with an interest in data anlysis and genetics
- Essential qualifications include relevant work experience in omics and NGS data analysis and advanced scripting skills (R/Bioconductor, Python/Perl or comparable)
- Preference will be given to applicants with previous practical experience in one or more of the following areas: analysis of genomics, transcriptomics, epigenetics, ai-based image analysis, data management and/or structured reporting; statistics; integrative omics-data analysis; clinical or medical working environment
- English language skills are required, German skills are of advantage but not a prerequisite
- Excellent analytical, communication and writing skills are expected
