**Currently, we are looking for Manager Manufacturing Sciences in Lengnau, Switzerland**
In this function, you will be owning the Manufacturing Science & Technology team in Lengnau, an innovative Drug Substance Manufacturing site for Biologic's. Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing Science & Technology, the Manager will lead a multifaceted and dedicated team of Process Experts to enable manufacturing campaigns by driving technology transfer and process support.
**A day in the Life**:
- Lead of a team of Process Experts
- Responsible for facility fit assessment, technology transfer activities, process expertise during Engineering Runs, GMP/clinical, PPQ and routine commercial runs.
- Technical leadership and support to manufacturing activities including data trending, sophisticated deviation investigation, risk mitigations and continuous improvements.
- Optimization and coordination of the process related activities through cross-functional partnership for start-up and new product introduction.
- Active participation to the integration of the local function in the global network.
- Supports CMC/regulatory filing documentation.
- Aligns department activities with other internal and external team members.
**Keys to Success**:
- MSc or PhD in biotechnology, cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry or related field
- Experience in Drug Substance GMP manufacturing (M.Sc >6yrs, PhD>8yrs) including overall knowledge in upstream and downstream process areas
- Experience in leading teams (>2 yrs)
- Experience in technical operation environment (>2 yrs)
**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**:
- Proficiency in working with multicultural and cross-disciplinary project teams
- Excellent organization, planning, problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills
- Energy and drive (committed, work towards results)
- Language: Proficiency in English, German knowledge preferable
