**About the Role**Key Responsibilities include**:
- Work closely with the President of innovations and strategy and with the larger CSD team to define and execute the company's engineering strategy, direction and objectives
- Drive engineering & innovation functional excellence and best-in-class performance by driving continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering function
- Deliver process design & best practices from concept to manufacturing
- Foster a culture of innovation, digitalization, continuous improvement, collaboration and high-performance within the engineering organization
- Lead and build organizational capability and identify new spaces and ways to improve and enrich our solutions
- Lead and develop a best-in-class team and future talent succession, ensuring diversity and equal opportunities-
- Drive technical excellence and ensure the teams are utilizing modern engineering practices, tools and technologies
- Drive the innovation agenda and create strong relationships with external partners (Universities, leading suppliers etc)
- Define and deploy a technology roadmap for digital transformation through the integration of digital solutions
- Partner with regions, business units and functional leaders to introduce and leverage industry best practices
- Ensure full alignment on innovation and digital initiatives focusing on internal and external customers’ needs
- Design the factory of the future for cocoa and chocolate.**About You**- Master’s Degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in leading a global engineering organization across multi-divisional large-scale business
- Deep understanding of chemical and process engineering
- Strong technical knowledge and experience with Lean System/Six Sigma, Supply Chain Management, Quality Assurance and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) processes is strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge & experience of good manufacturing and laboratory practices in the food industry
- Experience with GMP design of food factories
- Extensive background in driving continuous improvement activities
- Strong leadership skills along with proven capability to deliver results and build high performance teams
- Sound operational and financial acumen, executive presence and the ability to lead multiple locations
- Solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a data-driven approach
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Drives results and delivers on commitments
- Strong ability to coach, develop and inspire team members
