To complement its team, the School of Criminal Sciences of the Faculty of Law, Criminal Sciences, and Public Administration is looking for a **Graduate Assistant.**

**Job information**:
Expected start date in position : 01.02.2024 / to be agreed

Contract length : 1 year, renewable 2 x 2 years, maximum 5 years

Activity rate : 80%

Workplace : Lausanne-Dorigny

**Your responsibilities**:

- **50%** of the activity rate is dedicated to completing a doctoral thesis focused on comparative criminology.
- **50%** of the activity rate is dedicated to supporting teaching and research in criminology: supervising students in the master’s program in Criminology and Security, providing educational support under a professor's guidance, participating in research projects independent of the doctoral thesis, and contributing to administrative tasks within the School of Criminal Sciences (ESC).

**Your qualifications**:

- Master’s degree in criminology (or a related field, such as social sciences);
- Willingness to develop a thesis in comparative criminology;
- Proven skills in database management; proficient in Microsoft Office and SPSS (or similar, like R);
- Proficiency in English and French;
- Ability to work independently while being effective in team collaboration;
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, deadline adherence, and initiative.
