After years of research, Planted was founded in July 2019 as a spin-off from ETH Zurich. Our revolutionary plan will make the world a better place. We structure meats from plants that is no way inferior to animal meat, scores with unique taste, and authentic texture, and is miles ahead in terms of sustainability and health

Planted is more than a delicious product - it's also an attitude. We want to radically change the way meat is perceived and consumed and inspire a shift from eating animal proteins to eating plant proteins.

**Your mission**:

- Support of lab manager in building up and keeping running our Biotech lab.
- Support in one or several of our Biotech projects.
- Running of experiments in the field of fungal fermentation of plant-based proteins.
- Support in developing new and optimizing current biotechnological processes.
- Design of experiments as well as evaluation, interpretation, and presentation of experimental data to the project team.
- Close collaboration with the product development team and other scientists to further develop and upscale our fermented prototypes.

**You**:

- have a Master or Bachelor in Food Biotechnology, Food Process Engineering, Biotechnology or Food Technology.
- ideally have the first experience working with microbes and fermented foods.
- are a hands-on self-starter who is naturally curious and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
- love food, fermentation, and Science.
- are able to work independently and to find creative solutions on a daily basis.
- are fluent in English and/or German.
- are allowed to work in Switzerland.
