**ROLE SUMMARY**:
- Monitors will be responsible for overseeing the camp's outdoor education programs, ensuring that campers have a safe, challenging, and enjoyable experience while developing their skills and appreciation for the outdoors.**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Supervise campers on outdoor activities and ensure they have an experience that challenges and inspires them.
- Manage program logistics, including equipment procurement and maintenance, transportation, and scheduling.
- Manage camper behavior and enforce camp rules and regulations, working closely with the Camp Director and other program heads as needed.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to any emergencies or incidents involving campers or staff.
**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE**:
- Bachelor's degree in outdoor education, recreation management, environmental studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in outdoor education.
- Ability to supervise a variety of outdoor education activities and programs, including wilderness trips, adventure activities, and environmental education.
- Strong knowledge of outdoor education best practices, risk management, and environmental stewardship.
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing circumstances as needed.
