Internship - Uav Avionics

Swiss based Dufour Aerospace is developing an eVTOL platform based on tilt-wing technology to make future manned and unmanned electric and hybrid electric aircraft a reality. Dufour’s prototypes have already flown many hundreds of flights - both manned and unmanned. The combination of VTOL operation, aircraft design and software development expertise puts Dufour Aerospace at the forefront of Advanced Air Mobility.

Our internship position targets Bachelor's & Master's students with a minimum commitment of 6 months and a potential interest in subsequently working with us.

Tasks

We are seeking an Intern being passionate about drone avionics to join our team and work on our subscale tilt-wing aircraft platforms. With your background in electronics and embedded systems, you will be in charge of improving flight-critical hardware and implementing new features on our in-house flight control system. In our dynamic startup environment you will need to be adaptable, and there is a great deal of room for growth. Working location is Altstetten ZH.

**Responsibilities**:

- Improvements to avionic systems
- Integration of new payloads in hardware and software
- PCB design in KiCad/Altium

**Requirements**:
Required
- Hands-on experience with PCB design
- Experience working with C++ and embedded systems
- Soldering and manufacturing skills

Desired
- Experience with the STM32 platform
- RC model experience
- Experience with QGC and MAVLink
