Embedded as an onsite scientist in the world-renowned CVMR research lab of the CIBM at the University Hospital Lausanne CHUV while being part of a dynamic and ambitious translational Healthineers R&D team also based in Lausanne, you will work in a unique setting at the interface between methods development and translation into clinical practice. You will help shaping the future of magnetic resonance imaging in close collaboration with clinicians and other researchers in Lausanne and beyond, being connected to the global Healthineers MR research community.

**Your tasks and responsibilities**:

- You, with your strong expertise in MR imaging, will be at the interface of method development, translational research, and clinical validation of the developed techniques.
- You will enable the local partners to make best use of the equipment, as well as perform research and help translating novel methods both to clinics and to future commercial products.
- You will be working with the CVMR/CIBM team supported by the Siemens Healthineers pre-development group in Lausanne as well as the MR headquarters in Germany.
- You will develop new MRI methods and provide both research and technical instrumentation support for the MRI systems.
- You will help foster clinical translation by transferring the developed techniques to clinical MRI platforms.
- You will interact intensively with clinical and research partners locally, nation
- and world-wide.
- You will participate in scientific publications presented at conferences and in peer-reviewed journals.
- You may travel both internationally and domestically for collaboration visits and conferences.

**Your qualifications and experiecne**:

- You hold a degree in (bio-)medical imaging, physics, or related engineering fields.
- You gained long-standing experience with MR imaging and physics, ideally proven by a PhD in the field.
- You have proven C++ programming skills, as well as Python (and/or Matlab).
- You have profound experience in MR sequence programming (ideally on Siemens platforms).
- Your familiarity with machine learning techniques, neural networks and related topics is a plus.

**Your attributes and sills**:

- You are excited about the possibility to work in an international, scientific environment to drive translational MRI methods development directly with researchers on-site.
- You like to interact with different people, and you are motivated by being able to bridge the gap between research and industry.
- You are creative and can overcome obstacles.
- You have excellent communication skills in English, both written and orally. Other languages are an additional asset.
