**Postdoc in Functional Genomics**:

**About the role**

In this position, you will have the opportunity to engage with extensive multi-omics datasets and cutting-edge technologies, such as massively parallel reporter assays (MPRAs) and CROP-/Perturb-seq. Your primary responsibility will be to lead a cross-functional project focused on leveraging genomics technologies, human genetics and single cell transcriptomics data toward identification of mechanisms in disease and drug targets.

Key responsibilities:

- Establishment of latest MPRA and/or CROP-seq technology.
- Validation of in silico predictions and understanding associated gene regulation mechanisms.
- Linking identified regulatory mechanisms to disease pathogenesis using relevant models.
- Communicating project progress proactively and transparently with stakeholders.

**Role Requirements**

Essential requirements:

- PhD in functional genomics, cell biology, molecular biology, computational biology, or related field.
- Strong expertise in mammalian cell culture, gene editing and molecular and cell biology.
- Experience with the analysis of large (omics) datasets in R and/or Python.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Enthusiastic about working in a scientific community related to drug discovery and development.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a matrix environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable requirements:

- Proficiency in genomics and/or single cell techniques is preferred.
- Experience working with iPS-derived cellular models is advantageous.
- A strong publication record is a plus but not a must.
