Timberland EMEA is looking for an exceptional Director, Marketplace Marketing & Media to join our Marketing team based in Stabio, Switzerland.

Let’s Talk about the Role
The Director, Marketplace Marketing and Media is responsible for developing and managing best in class marketing support for all EMEA countries, from planning to execution, to gain market share, increase brand consideration and stand out from the competition.
This role requires a proven track record in project and people management with a structured approach to deliver fully comprehensive marketing plans and initiatives to drive sell through and brand loyalty.
The objectives of this role are to strengthen brand health metrics, improve MROI results, increase sell through and make the brand a favored partner for our wholesale accounts.
You are a team player, problem solver, and idea generator with a strong understanding of creating brand experiences that people remember, return to, and love.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, drive & own the Wholesale Marketing vision plus strategy for the Timberland EMEA brand and all product categories to fuel business growth and strengthen brand equity across the Timberland EMEA wholesale distribution
- Provide expertise and champion consumer insights, using ongoing analysis and reporting to guide and fuel strategic marketing decisions that supports sustainable growth of the business and optimal brands’ equity
- Drive the ONE Marketplace Go to Market process from an aligned sell in to a consistent marketplace governance, within a defined tiering and distribution segmentation
- Drive aligned brand storytelling and business support at the defined Digital Titan accounts (Zalando, Asos, Amazon and About You)
- Elevate and energize our key cities through activations, cultural relevant amplifications and executions
- Manage Brand media budget within brands’ P&L to maximize ROI and achieve financial plans, fuelling brand awareness, reach new consumers and top line sales
- Collaborate with Performance Marketing and Social Media teams to ensure a holistic media approach and media strategy alignment
- Work closely with the Global Marketing functions to share needs and opportunities and implement the global defined strategy
- Have an excellent sense for business acumen and understanding of commercial business needs according to the OGSTM choices of the brand
- Drive collaboration between Marketing, Sales, Digital, Ecommerce, Merchandising and incorporate feedback to continuously improve the regional marketing needs and strategy and overall Go To Market integration
- Collaborate across marketing functions to develop fully integrated marketing campaigns leading all digital marketing initiatives from campaign ideation to execution, measurement and optimization

- Academic: Degree in Marketing, Economics, Business Science or equivalent.
- Experience: Must have at least 10 years of relevant Marketing experience, 7+ years of managerial experience and a strong understand of the digital brand world
- Organizational, analytical and time management skills are essential as the ability to communicate with a wide range of people from Top Management, Press stakeholders, Corporate departments, Global Marketing, Regional Marketing across a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures
- Lead a team of 6 direct reports, of which 5 in the main markets
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, negotiation and persuasion skills
- Good communication skills and the ability to work under pressure with given deadlines
- Conceptual thinking to understand complex issues and their implications, some may need to be based on limited information
- The ability to implement and devise solutions that may require a long-term perspective while taking into consideration multiple perspectives
- Language skills: Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
