To reinforce our Purchasing and Logistics Team, we are looking for a Head of Supply Chain and Procurement ( US Territory)

EPC contracting and negotiation and long lead direct purchasing and supply chain development.
- Product manufacturing prototype and serial production scale-up, manufacturing line CAPEX investment, and contract manufacturing.
- Raw material and chemical development, scale-up and supply chain development including activities from R&D agreements through to mass production.

Your responsibilities*
- Build and develop a global supply chain for all commodities and vendors used in the Direct Air Capture industry.
- Expand Climeworks’ supply chain network in all of our company’s value streams which include (but are not limited to) solid sorbent technology, product design and manufacturing, and process plant engineering, procurement and construction (EPC).
- Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with suppliers in all of Climeworks’ value streams.
- Manage and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of materials and equipment, and execution of projects.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures throughout the supply chain.
- Liaise closely with the Legal department to establish streamlined and scalable contracts and contracting strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to supply chain and procurement.
- Keep abreast of market trends, new technologies, and regulations to ensure that the company remains at the forefront of the industry.

**EPC Procurement and Contracts, Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead EPC negotiations to implement the best contracting strategies to achieve Climeworks scale-up objectives.
- Work with project managers and engineers through the entire EPC project life cycle - from expression of interest, to bid, to award, claim management and close out.
- Develop a reliable and fast-moving network of suppliers (A&E, turnkey EPC, construction).
- Develop standard contracts for EPC engagements.

**Product Manufacturing Procurement & Supply Chain, Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead negotiations with manufacturing partners to deliver Climeworks’ designed technology products.
- Determine the best procurement strategy (make v buy) for assembly and sub-assemblies and work with Product & Manufacturing Engineers to implement.
- Develop and maintain inventory management and logistics systems to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of products.
- Develop supply chains for both low volume high-speed prototyping and high volume manufacturing serial production.
- Procured equipment and lines for in-house manufacturing CAPEX.

**Raw Material Procurement & Supply Chain, Key Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with our technology development team to identify key R&D partners and develop contracting & procurement strategies that navigate a challenging IP landscape.
- Source low volume labs and mass production chemical facilities to assist in novel technology development and scale up.
- Negotiate partnerships and contracts that protect Climeworks production scale-up plans.
- Masters in Mechanical, Chemical or Aerospace Engineering, and/or Supply Chain Management, Construction or a related field.
- Has had practical experience in both the United States of America and Europe.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain and procurement, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
- **EPC**: Experience delivering multibillion dollar projects.
- **Product Manufacturing**: Experience in prototype manufacturing and serial production scale-up.
- **Raw Materials**: Experience in technology development and invention, and mass production scale-up.
- Experience in legal contracting strategies and negotiations.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations related to supply chain and procurement.
- Experience with inventory management and logistics systems.
