**Your responsibilities**:

- Perform research on electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic design
- Analyze and quantify conducted and radiated electromagnetic noise emissions of power electronic converters
- Evaluate and optimize electromagnetic designs of circuits and systems
- Create innovative methods for reducing electromagnetic noise and electromagnetic interferences (EMI)
- Initiate, lead and participate in EMC related projects with full commitment
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers from other research centers, ABB business units, as well as from universities

**Your background**:

- PhD in electrical engineering, power electronics, physics or a related discipline
- Excellent scientific track record with publications in high quality journals and conferences
- Solid theoretical background in EMC and deep understanding of electromagnetic modeling and field simulations
- Proven hands-on laboratory skills in HF-electromagnetic measurement techniques like vector network analyzer, or conducted and/or radiated emissions
- Additional experience in power electronic converters and electrical circuit design is a plus.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written
