Entity Accounting Manager

On behalf of our client, an international healthcare company based in Switzerland, Swisslinx is looking for an Entity Accounting Manager. This is a contract for initially 6 months with a high chance after to become a permanent role.
- Start date: As soon as possible (latest on 1st of June)
- Duration: 6 months
- Extension: highly possible as well as internalization
- Workload: 100%
- Mostly remote work (based in Switzerland)

Your mission:
Execute the accounting processes for the EU entities following US GAAP. This includes (but is not limited to):

- Coordinate correct accounting of international commercial and clinical activities (revenue, gross to net, cost accounting, receivables)
- Ensure GL accuracy and completeness (Prepare detailed journal entries and account analyses)
- Manage the monthly financial close process, including: Following month end control checklist ensuring all transactions are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, performing account balance reconciliations and reporting preparation
- Coordinate the accounting process for the (non-Swiss) European entities jointly with company’s 3rd party service providers
- Execute and coordinate timely, accurate and complete accounting and settlement of all intercompany transactions
- Assist with compilation of information for preparation of tax returns
- Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts following local GAAP for all (non Swiss) European entities
- Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes
- Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices
- Assist with SOX compliance and management of material control audits

Your profile:

- Accounting/Business/Finance Bachelor degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a multinational finance environment (Big 4 and/or healthcare experience a plus)
- Willingness to execute daily transactional accounting tasks
- Desire to work in a fast paced environment
- Excellent communication skills combined with cultural sensitivity
- Knowledge of SAP S/4 Hana, Excel, Power BI, Concur, Workday, online banking, VAT interfaces
- Excellent spoken/written English language
