**EMEA Essential Health R&D Lead**

The R&D Sr. Director will be responsible for providing leadership for the EMEA R&D EH end-to-end Development teams. Direct accountability in defining the regional organization and business strategies for R&D Essential Health teams that align with the overall Kenvue vision and objectives.

Responsible for the EH innovation and LCM pipeline in the region, driving profitability, adapting products to local consumer & costumer needs. Accountable for defining appropriate innovation strategy for several Essential Health brands in different countries.

Develop strong collaboration with global R&D development centers and external development partnerships, where necessary.

They will have a very strategic role within the EMEA Supply Chain Leadership Team and develop strong partnerships with other senior leaders in the organization such as Marketing, Regulatory, Packaging, Quality, Supply Chain, Plant Leaders, and Finance.

**Responsibilities**:

- Define the reginal organization and recruitment and management of Talent.
- Shape and develop the end-to-end innovation pipeline for Essential Health brands enabling the business strategy through innovative solutions for our consumers, customers, and planet
- Lead role in R&D for technical problem resolution and project success criteria, demonstrating superior technical formulation knowledge and processes.
- Lead a team of managers and scientists, driving their talent and development agenda
- Represent R&D in the Supply Chain Leadership Team and in the Franchise (Self Care and Essentials and Skin Health) Supply Chain Leadership Teams acting as a Business Engagement Leader.
- Understands the research landscape and leverages internal and external networks to access new scientific technologies, that enable a fast and agile go to market model. Anticipates competitor activities, regulatory developments, sustainability trends to ensure that pipeline and portfolio, is robust and competitive in terms of performance, claims and cost, which meets the requirement of the business and consumers’ needs
- Ensure all processes and activities are compliant with company policies and applicable external regulations/laws. Provide and nurture the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and compliance.
- Lead role in EMEA EH growth forum and the R&D EMEA leadership Team
- Manage EH full R&D and LCM development budget.

Sets the regional RD EH strategy for short & long term, which is consumer centric, E2E, sustainable, high quality and compliant. Works closely to Global R&D development centers to deliver the pipeline (Adapt market).

Works closely with Supply chain and cross functional leaders as R&D lead in the Supply Chain Leadership team to set the R&D LCM strategy

Works closely with commercial and cross functional leaders to ensure alignment and prioritization around Innovation, LCM, portfolio management, resources, and budgets.

Drives and implements talent strategies on hiring, promotions, pay adjustments, performance appraisals, and other people-related decisions

Qualifications

**Required Minimum Education**:
A minimum of a master’s degree in Sciences, Engineering or Pharmacy is required.

**Required Years of Related Experience**:
A minimum of 12 years of professional Research & Development experience is required.

**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:
Experience working in a consumer products company with an emphasis in developing and commercializing products

The incumbent must demonstrate excellent communication skills and possess the ability to influence at senior levels

This individual must have experience partnering with internal/external resources to drive innovation

Demonstrated leadership in leading and working in a cross functional team is required

Ability to build strong cross functional relationships in the following areas: Marketing, Technology, Formulations, Operations, Regulatory and/or Legal are necessary

Demonstrated experience in new product development is required
