Movement Designer

Our client is a global leader in **_Haute Horlogerie_**, the artistry of watchmaking, this group operates through various Houses and Manufacturing Units. The brand’s collections include iconic names, representing Artistry and craftsmanship which shine through their exquisite guilloché dials, enamel work, and gem-setting work. Their cutting-edge industrial infrastructure employs approximately **8,000 individuals**, with a majority based in **Switzerland**. To enhance the ongoing performance of their watches and maintain state-of-the-art technological capabilities, the Group’s industrial leadership is reinforcing its **Research & Innovation **team.

**Position**:
As a Movement Designer, you would be responsible for creating detailed plans of movement components from 3D models according to defined standards. This role involves working in partnership with constructors to ensure the integrity of the plan files. You would also be tasked with incorporating modifications related to continuous improvement on three levels: in 3D modeling, drafting, and data management associated with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).

In addition, you would be responsible for drawing up the technical file and developing the plan file based on NIHS watchmaking standards and our CAD standards, internal norms while respecting the PLM structure. Ensuring functional tolerancing of movement components to guarantee the quality of subassemblies and the finished product is another key aspect of this role.

You would also need to perform self-checks before the validation of the file by the manufacturer, create control plates (DXF), participate in industrialization reviews, and ensure and control the processes (CAD and PLM) of plan modifications. Lastly, respecting the deadlines for the availability of plans is crucial in this role.

**Requirements**:

- Qualification: Federal Certificate of Capacity (CFC) in Microtechnical Design or Technician ES diploma.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in our CAD and PLM design software (Creo; Windchill or equivalents).
- Office Tools: As well as office tools (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Drafting Expertise: Know-how and mastery of drafting rules and HIHS watchmaking standards.
- Geometric Tolerancing: Mastery of form and position tolerances, GPS tolerancing.
- 3D Visualization: Excellent 3D vision.
- Teamwork and Project Management: Ability to work in a team and in project mode.
