This role includes the design and review of technological solutions, the choice of new technologies and the supervision of developers.

The person in this role will combine an extensive hands-on knowledge in data related technologies (MS-SQL, MS-Azure, Informatica ) with an understanding of Global Fund business data and processes, plus a large experience in the design and delivery of enterprise data management platforms.

Key Responsibilities
- Work with the data analysis team and the business stakeholders to understand their needs.
- Supervise and coordinate external resources on-site or offshore to ensure solutions are implemented as per the recommended design and general IT best practices.
- Perform reviews of projects under implementation for architecture, security, in compliance with Enterprise Architecture principles and code review.
- Contribute to the Enterprise Architecture activities for data related matters.
- Coordinate and work with other IT teams to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the technical architecture and change processes for the corporate repositories: Corporate Datawarehouse, Data Hub, Data Lake.
- Plan and coordinate the execution of needed proof of concept to assess new technologies and/or new architectures.
- Design and implement redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective availability, protection, and integrity of data assets.
- Ensure adoption of change management practices conform to organization-wide standards.

**Qualifications**:
Essential:

- University Degree in information systems management, computer, engineering or a related field
- or an equivalent combination of qualification and relevant work experience
- or any of these certifications / trainings in the following technologies/domains:

- Data Management & Data Quality
- Database Modelling
- DataWarehouse and Datamarts
- Any certification, training in the following technologies:

- MS-SQL
- Tableau
- Azure Data Services (ADF, ADL, LogicApps, DataBricks, Synapse )
- APIs, SOA
- Knowledge of data integration tools like Informatica / Dell Boomi / ADFS.

Desirable:

- Accreditation in a recognized project management methodology such as PMI or Prince2.
- Accreditation in an Enterprise Architecture methodology such as TOGAF.

Experience

Essential:

- Relevant technical experience of data management systems, data warehousing methodology, data quality, data modelling, data governance and analytics.
- Proven experience in supervising and coaching developers (on-site/offshore).
- Extensive working knowledge of SQL and data manipulation languages.
- Proven experience in data warehousing planning and development.
- Good working knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Experience in dynamic and fast-changing environment, with diverse cultures.

Desirable:

- Experience in project management
- Experience with international financial services organizations.
- Experience with international/non-profit organizations.
